My Mother-in-love is a wonderful person! The doctors are saying cancer, I am rebuking that in the name of Jesus Christ! And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
Jesus put a dimension on the size of the mustard seed, but He did not put a dimension on the size of the mountain. If it takes faith the size of a mustard seed to move the largest mountain in the world, how much faith does it take to get rid of cancer? An atom? A proton? An electron? A molecule? Please be in agreement with me (where two or more are in agreement...) that God will heal her swiftly! And bring her home, healthy and happy before Christmas. Thanks! And God Bless!

I can't believe it has been so long since I blogged. I have been busy, cleaning my shop, decorating, getting ready for my big 2 day anniversary sale. Today is the second day and I have time to sit and blog. I am also having a porcelain doll workshop here next Saturday. Sharon Westmiller will come and teach and this is the last chance. She is moving back to N.Y. at the end of December. I don't know where else you can come and make a doll for just $30. With the price of everything going up, she kept it at the same price the last time she did a workshop. If you are interested, call me, she needs a head count before Saturday. We did have an awesome Thanksgiving. Because my mother-in-law is still in the nursing home, we stayed home and did all the cooking. My husband said everything was perfect, but the stuffing was a little burnt. But hey, my first time doing the whole thing. I did have a flash back to the first (and only other time) turkey I stuffed. I had made the stuffing and put it inside the turkey, the turkey was big and not that much stuffing, so all of it went in the turkey, no extra. This time I did have plenty. After everyone left, clean up was done, me and my girls played cards, and laughed so hard over silly things. God is blessing us all! I am thankful so many things, but first on my list is Jesus Christ and my salvation!! I do try to tell God thank you everyday, for everything he has blessed me with. If you can't sleep, count blessings, best way to get a good night's sleep.

I can't believe it has been so long since my last posting. I have been some what busy. A friend and customer told me she was taking things to the Aiken Fair and she said she would take some of out stuff. So I got together some stuff, but Briana helped me so much. She put together things that we had put in the state fair before, or because we can only put one thing in each catagory at the state fair, we had plenty. Briana is a great organizer, everywhere but her room.
And yes I did have a lot of fun with the cake walk at the fall festival at BLES. I took my two older grandkids and they had such fun. And yes I did win at the cake walk, I won cupcakes twice and a beautiful white cake. I put the cake in the freezer for Jessica's birthday on the 26th. And I took cupcakes to the Miller reunion and the rest of the cupcakes to Homecoming at Praise Church. There has been so many things going on. Our 4-H Club meeting on Friday was awesome. I really enjoyed teaching the children to dry brush. And we got our 4-H bracelets to get into the fair FREE on Saturday. We spent the day, and boy were our feet and legs tired. I praise God we won so many ribbons. Angel, Briana and myself won the sweepstakes, (big purple ribbons).

You would think I would calm down by now. I took 127 items to the state fair yesterday. 14 different people's things. I had weeks to pack this stuff, when I go back to pick it all up I will have a couple of hours to pack it back up. But I didn't break anything, even though I dropped 2 pieces of ceramics. I also found out that the cakes are fake, it's not eatable. I did not know that! I am glad that part is over, but I am not relaxing, yet. Maybe today at the fun festival at BLES. I am going for a cake walk! I love cake walks, I would like to win too. I found some wonderful patterns for pumpkins at pumpkinglow.com, and other sites, that I googled. Thanks to Delana last night at youth meeting at Praise Church. I am going to cut some out of ceramic pumpkins and my gazing balls, which will be giant ornaments. I even got some disney characters, no Eeyore though.

I have been so busy trying to get things to the fair and ready to go to the fair.... I feel burned out! I took the student arts and fine arts on Monday, and boy was that rough. First they had 2-D on Angel's and Briana's pieces, I was told I could try to fight it, but I probable would not get them entered. I did! Praise God! Then I was told in Fine arts, if it comes out of a mold it ain't ceramic, all I could say was "excuse me?" I do this for a living, 99% comes out of the mold. But I did not argue, I respected my elders (100+). Pick your battles!! I was already beat down from the student arts, I did not have any more energy to waste on them. I need to get back to packing up for the fair. I hope all of you have your stuff ready.

Hello,
Sorry I haven't written much lately. But I have a lot to catch up on around here. And I am almost back to normal. I have so much to do around here, I feel like I will never get caught up. I got Jessica's penquin out of the kiln and some of the black glaze ran. And Mema's piggy bank is still streaky. I give up on it. I sold another piggy bank today, a customer saw Mema's and she wants two. I have to order them, but it's ok. I have to get things ready for Rehobeth church on saturday. We are doing a make and take for the children at their fun festival. Everything is free, except the tables were people are selling things. But the food, drinks, and games are all free. I love going, even if I will miss the teaching on the blood at Praise Church Saturday morning. But I made the committment last year. My husband will video tape the conference.

I am sick! I have sinus drainage down the back of my throat, into my lungs, yuck!!
I feel awful. Getting ready to close shop early, just as soon as I find Angel. She was headed to the library today after school. I might have to pick her up early. I didn't get much work done today. Atleast I am off tomorrow and I can rest.

I have been working on some master pieces! I am working on several glazed pieces for the fair and I am surprising myself, but the proof will be in the pudding. When they come out of the kiln, will they be perfect, beautiful, or so-so? I pray they will be unique! God gives me so many ideas, I just can't keep up. He inspires me! After all he gave me the talents, I want to use them for His Glory! And with each generation that gift is multiplied. My children have more talent than I do, and I am proud of each one of them. God has blessed me with wonderful children. Now if He would teach me how to stop the fighting between them... I read a plaque the other day, "I don't care who started it, Just stop it now!"

I unloaded the kiln this morning. And I've started working on some pieces to go in the fair. I got the 4-H club's Christmas trees out. Only 2 look like they came through a fire. I don't know why all did not come out the same. I am emailing my teacher and asking WHAT happened?
I hope everyone is registered on line at scstatefair.org. Even if you don't do ceramics, you can put an entry in for cooking & sewing, all kinds of things. Including animals! I am going to get back to work on my butterfly mask, I have high hopes for it.

I have been busy this week. Even my days off, go by so fast, staying so busy. I saw a church sign on my way in this morning.
Patience is believing in God's timing.
I think I got it right, if not, it's close and it's true. I got my avon order off this morning and started tagging ceramics for the fair, when Ronnie showed up with lunch. I got busy with customers while he was here. When he left it got slow again. But I had to pull some molds and carve CLEMSON in a football. Got busy while writing this.

Well my weekend flew by so fast. Even my Monday went by quickly. I got the girls costumes for halloween cut out plus my chores. Sunday school was interesting. I usually have the nursery, but no babies were there, and the youth had no teacher, so I taught them the nursery class lesson- God gave us our mouths. Very interesting, at least they stayed in their seats. With the nursery class the attention span doesn't last long and they get up to play. With teenagers the attention span changes, but they don't get up to play.
I got to work as soon as I got to the shop this morning. It is hot in the back, but I got quite a few molds poured up. I have to open most of them today. I even put up a few, I need to put up a whole lot more, not much room to work back there. A lady called and said she was coming today to bring some greenware to be fired, I can get the kiln filled up alot faster if she shows. I sure hope everyone has gone to scstatefair.org to register for the state fair to put in their ceramics and other items. Got to get er done before time runs out.

We had a good turn out for 4-H club yesterday. Then I took all mine (even Poppi) to Jessica's to spend the night. We even picked up neighbor child to go too. But she didn't make it all night, she got homesick about 9pm. I am glad I wasn't there. She had her 3, my 4 (counting Poppi), & our neighbor (until 9). They watched movies in 2 different rooms, until one T.V. just stopped. They painted Christmas trees, for those that didn't make it to 4-H club. Mean while, my husband and I went to the movies, after we split a hamburger basket at Rush's. We had a coupon for one of us to get in free, so it was a cheap date, but well worth the peace and quiet.... almost... the young lady in front of us talked to everyone around her the entire movie, I tried to shhh her, but she would just get louder. We ran into my friend Carolyn and her husband at the movies, she gave me 2 little firefighter hats she had gotten from firehouse subs. My grandsons will love them. We got home fairly early last night so I am not too tired today. I have opened the molds I poured yesterday and worked on the penguin. Ronnie brought me a burger for lunch. It has been a good day. My daughter-in-law picked up my girls this morning, but she didn't get all their stuff or my Poppi.

I have really been working this week. It is so hot in the back of the shop, even when I don't fire up the kiln. I have had some special orders this week and trying to get them done. Jessica saw her penguin I got for her birthday, she loves it. I got it fired and have started putting glaze on it. Maybe it will do right the first time, Mema's piggy bank still needs work on it. Keep your fingers crossed. My girls are enjoying school so far. I read a comment from husband's niece, it was a quote from her middle daughter on her first day home from K-5, " There are way too many rules and I already know all that stuff!!" I guess she is ready to go out in the world and get a job, she knows all that stuff. I went to my granddaughters open house last night, nice school, Hollywood. They gave out ice cream, chocolate syrup and sprinkles. I should not have gotten the sprinkles.

This is me doing the "back to school" dance!! My girls had a good first day, I didn't. I went to the high school to try and straighten out Angel's schedule, but they sent me out like a whipped pup. I felt like crying. I am sending Ronnie back. I spent well over an hour sitting there, just to be told I can't do anything, it ain't right. I was told by family to just go to the school board, but I will wait and see what Ronnie can do. I can always pull her out and home school her, won't that be fun? It took me almost all day, praising and praying to get calmed down.
My son and his wife came home late Saturday. They may have had almost two weeks to get used to being without Precious, but to come home to an empty house has to hurt pretty bad. Please keep them in your prayers. I'm sorry this shouldn't be so down. I know God is still in control and His plans are not ours. I praise Him!

Today has been busy, not overwhelming, just a steady busy. Even Mema came by. But her piggy bank was still streaky, so it will be fired again. One of my pieces came out, but the other, the red is still has gray in it. Very frustrating. I got a couple more orders on the footballs, one with SC State, and another Panthers. I got one done. I have to let the mold dry, maybe tomorrow I can pour the other one. I have to pour another motorcycle and riders, I sold the set I had. I have so much to do, but between the phone calls and questions, its been a long day, I might have to lock the door and not answer the phone to get done.

I am trying to get the kiln loaded with a glazed load. I have repaired Mema's piggy bank, my magnolia's and my rose on a heart. I pray everything comes out right this time. I am also putting the black saucers back in. I've touched up them and hope they come out good enough for the State Fair.

Another slow day at the shop. But I got caught up on my emails, too many accounts to keep up with. the girls spent the night with their grandparents last night and Ronnie & I got to go on a date. We ate at Flight Deck, we had the blue plate specials. And then we went to see G.I. Joe movie. It was good, but too much action, made my eyes hurt trying to keep up. We had to pick up a few groceries from Wal-mart on the way home.
I got some glazing done and worked on the applications for the state fair.
Indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

I got a voicemail about Precious. She said she saw a fat Rollie pollie chihuahua rolling around in a yard, all by herself in Hounds Run. We rushed down there and looked all around. We went by the animal shelter and reported her missing. No one had called or turned in a chihuahua in the past week. I could even smell her at one house, they wouldn't open the door. One woman offered to help, but she didn't do anything, but take down our information. I was suspicious of her. I am still praying. I have not lost faith. God will keep Precious safe.
August 5, 2009
I only took my girls to the movies this week. This is the last week of the free movies. We went by the Christian book store in Lexington and then came home, not feeling well. Hard to breath, sinus giving me a hard time. We did make it to church. Brother Jacob taught a good word on Peace. I needed it! I needed it earlier in the week. I know I am suspose to trust God and I do! But that didn't keep me from worrying. And again I keep hearing Peace, be still! Be still and know I am God. He speaks to my soul all the time, always in a soft voice, but loud enough I can hear him.
August 4, 2009
We went by Twin City News to put in and ad about Precious. It costed more than Saluda and they wouldn't put her picture in. But I have to do everything possible to get her back. We are still praying!
August 3, 2009
Not feeling well. Why can't I let it all be in God's hands? Why do I worry so much? We went to Saluda to put an ad in for Precious. We put up more signs.

Byron is leaving today to fly back to Arizona. We went back to Mrs Agnes for lunch, that was extremely hard. But we got signs put up all around the area with Precious picture on it. I pray God will touch the hearts of who ever has her and bring her back to us. My heart hurts so much for that sweet little dog. It has to hurt Mindy more. I pray God will give us all peace and rest. Especially Jessica, she feels so guilty and helpless. Lord help us all and keep Precious safe. When we went to the airport, the girls started asking Byron if we could come out and see him this Christmas. He says he has plenty of room for us. Today is Bubba's birthday, but I couldn't bring myself to sing Happy Birthday to him.

I have been so busy this week. But I have also been sick, sick in my soul and body. I worried myself sick about us losing my son's puppy. Precious is one of my grandbabies. She is 8 months old. I recommended Jessica keep her while they are in Tenn. on business. When I called Jessica to see if she wanted me to pick them all up for the family barbeque last Saturday afternoon. She asked if she could bring pup, and I said sure, but Mrs. Agnes doesn't like animals in her house, so she will have to be tied out with our dog, Poppi. We were all outside most of the time. When we went in to eat, not gone but about 15 minutes, she slipped out of her harness and is still missing. We all blame ourselves. It's awful feelings. And because we don't get much sleep when we worry, we stress our bodies when we worry, my immune system ain't working quite right, I got a sinus infection. I have had such pressure and pain all week. I do feel better today. I have tried to get work done, but mostly I have just got us registered for the State Fair.

Things have been quiet again today at the shop. We've been cleaning some. At least the shop looks better. Poppi is scared of the vaccuum. He is such a good dog. It takes the whole family to take care of him. He has missed the girls as much as I have. He has sat in the window, waiting for them everyday. My babies come home from camp today!! I have missed them so much.

It has been slow at the shop this a.m. Gives me time to catch up on things. I just read an email about Mars coming close to the Earth. It should be visible to the eye all thru August. God is so good! He shares so much of His beauty with us, if we just take the time to enjoy it. God cares for you, so care for others.

Though others may not observe us and see how we serve God today, our job as servants of Jesus is to please Him in every way. -Branon
Angel sat and painted with two little girls a couple of weeks ago. They came back to paint today and requested Angel again. I had to get Ronnie to drop her off at the shop. I don't think she realized how much of an impact she made on these little ones. I don't know the whole story, but I gather it is not good. I pray God goes with them today, and everyday. That he sends His angels to surround them and protect them.
No Service for Christ goes unnoticed by Him.

My babies are off to camp. They are camping in tents at Dreher Island this year. I took 2 of my grandbabies, Angel & Gavin to the movies, love those Veggie Tales! We went shopping too. I've got those kids spoiled! Angel & I ate at Mom & Pops. We saw someone that used to come to church. That's twice in a week I've seen someone that used to come to our church. I did invited both back into church. We got a call about 5pm, Jordon got sick at the camp grounds, and Ms. Martha didn't have a way to go pick her up. I went so I could see the girls, I miss them so much already. They said our car wouldn't make it back up in there where they were, so they had to get the girls together and bring them out to see us. They also got Jenna and we all hugged several times. Jordan didn't look too good, she got sick in the car. It was hard for me not to join her. We got her a ginger ale and got her home, she seemed to feel better. We met her new little puppy, Pepper. He is so cute and tiny (Chihuahua). His little tail curls up over his back. We hadn't had any supper, so we went to China One. At first Angel said she didn't want anything, but then she started eating off my plate, and she finally got her own plate. It was too late to make it to church.

We cleaned half a day and then went shopping. I don't think the girls thought of buying anything they will need for their camp trip. They leave Wednesday morning, coming back home on Saturday. Then Byron leaves on Sunday. My son, James (Bubba) leaves on Friday. His Birthday is Sunday. I pray protection on all of them and their comings and goings.

It has been really slow today at the shop. I opened the kiln this morning, and nothing came out quite right. Mema's piggy bank was streaky, so I am adding more underglaze. The eyes were beautiful. My rose looked fine, but the base had gray in the red, so I'm adding more to that. And on my vase with magnolia's the leaf fell to one side, and now I have to fix that. But that's ok, no one is perfect, except God. And the customer's cow cookie jar came out ok, and she was happy with it. He is Jesus. The One and Only. Transcendent over all else. To know Him is to love Him. To love Him is to long for Him. To long for Him is to finally reach soul hands into the One true thing we need never get enough of. Jesus. Take all you want. Take all you need. Till soul is fed. And spirit freed. Till dust is dust. And Face you see. Jesus Christ. He's all you need. - Beth Moore.

A couple of ladys came in to ask about Collins Jewelry, the door was locked, when I looked there is white flowers above the door. Please pray for this family.

I took 8 of us to the movies again. We saw Space Chimps. I really enjoyed it, cute story and it was sci-fi. But we had another accident. When we got home the children all went on the water slide, Ronnie got it all set up and cleaned the night before, all I had to do was plug in the pump and turn on the water. The children were having so much fun. I video some of their fun. They didn't want to come in to eat, but I did. They were all screaming, happy screams. So when Briana tried to jump down and landed on her back, we didn't even know right away that she was hurt. I took her to the doctor and got x-rays, Praise God no fractures!! She is going to be sore for a while. But we prayed that off too.

VBS Commencement was last night at Praise Church and the Holy Spirit was coming in waves like the ocean. When the children were singing and worshipping the Holy Spirit filled the room. It was so powerful! And when the youth did their dance for Worshippers Arise it was so marvelous, to fill God's presence. It took me a couple of hours to unwind from it all. And I got up early to go meet my step-son, Byron's adoptive family this morning for breakfast. Those little girls are so sweet. Isabella was all over Angel. I thank God Byron has this family, especially at holidays, when he can't be home with his own family. I was an hour late opening up shop this morning. And it is really slow. I got some painting done and my sister/accountant called for numbers I had forgotten to get together for taxes. Makes me sleepy working with numbers.

We were late getting to the shop today. I brought Bridget with me and we stopped to pick up water for the shop. I was on my way to Bi-Lo, but I saw on the sign at Walgreens that water was on sale. Big mistake going in there. They had so many things on sale. But I saved over $10. I would have saved more if I had not went in. Today is Bridget's day with me at the shop. I got her painting. It will be hard to keep her from just watching TV or drawing. I've got to work on Mema's piggy bank. We did agree on The Color Purple underglaze. And she wants me to paint a flower and/or a bee on its rump.

I started today off right! I went straight to the kiln when I opened up the shop this morning. The puzzle pieces came out great. But when I was looking at them I cut my finger on one of the stilt marks on the bottom. At first I didn't think it was more than a scratch, but it kept bleeding. Then I had to try and find the first aid kit. It's hard to get a band aid on when you're trying to keep it from bleeding. Thank God it doesn't hurt. I cleaned the kiln marks on the puzzle pieces, without cutting any more fingers. I closed shop early to go home and lay down. My head was throbbing. The nap helped, but I wasn't at 100 % the rest of the day. We didn't have any craft at VBS. But the children were all wet from the slip and slide. My friend Joan brought 2 more aprons to the church last night. I gave the kitchen workers each one and told them how much I appreciated what they do and all their hard work.

I took 7 children to the matinee in Lexington. We saw Horton hears a Who. Good thing they give refills on the popcorn and drink. The children were all good. We picked up a pizza from Domino's and went to the Corley Street Park. The sprinkler was on and we all got a little wet. We dried pretty quick in the heat. Bridget fell down and Jenna (neighbor), fell on top of her leg. He foot scraped across the sand and it looked like a hickey. She cried for a long time, especially when i tried to clean the wound. You should have seen Angel and me trying to tote her. She still managed to go to VBS. And congrats to Jenna, she spent the night at our house for the first time, she made it thru the night.

Today I filled the kiln with puzzle pieces. My daughter Briana made the puzzle pieces for me for the workers at our VBS. I made her a puzzle piece pattern and she rolled out the clay and cut around the puzzle pattern. We put them under a fan to dry faster. I cleaned them and put them in the kiln. Briana and I painted glazes on the bisque pieces last Saturday. She was such a big help. She is a blessing from God, like all my children. I thank God I have been so blessed. We only used 5 different glazes. I need to have them completed this week, before commencement on Friday night. I still have to write my short speech too. It's hard to get up in front of a crowd, but the Holy Spirit helps every time.
